Edusei Derkyi is the Founder and CEO of Housing Partnerships Africa providing Housing Advisory and Brokerage services. He is a retired founding executive of HFC Bank (Ghana) Limited, now Republic Bank Ghana.
A prolific writer; he is the author of "Aboakyer - The Hunt of the Efutu People", a historical fiction; "Ramblings of My Mind - an Anthology of 45 Life Poems"; "Yaaba - A day in the Life of an African Child" ; Mirrors of Our Times – a critique in commemoration of Ghana @ 60, which is set as a musical. “My Story My Song - A biography of an African Politician†completed but yet to be published. “Kwansema’s Choice†which is a sequel to “Aboakyer†follows in the genre of Historical Fiction. His adventure series “Adventures of Hurricane & Tornado†are dedicated to the realization of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on children, our future.
Derkyi’s writings are guided by his belief that as writers, we hold the keys to harnessing our past and present to define our future. He is a music enthusiast, thus his works usually incorporate songs: a true reflection of the pivotal role music plays in the everyday life of the African.
He is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Accra - North; an Elected Fellow of the University of Ghana - Commonwealth Hall, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Ghana Association of Writers. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies, and certificates in General Management, Project Management, Financial Restructuring and Public Private Partnerships.
